BOOKS I LOVE AND THINK ARE WORTH READING:

Simply Organized  By Emilie Barnes.  The caption reads:  The Life You've Always Searched For...But Were Too Cluttered To Find.  This is a thin, little book which has some great tidbits for those of us who are oganizationally-challenged.  Now if I could just get organized enough to practice what it preaches!

Bringing up BOYS  By Dr. James Dobson.  Really, anything by Dr. Dobson is great, in my opinion!  I have read many of his parenting books and he is right on with each one!  This one hits me where I live since four of the Fabulous-five fall into the blue-gender category. 

The Power of a Praying Wife  By Stormie OMartian.  If you don't read any other book this year, this book is the ONE you should choose!  This book will give you some useful insights into how to pray, what to pray and how a man thinks...all very important stuff.  It will also transform YOU as you pray for your "man".  I HIGHLY recommend this book!

MUSICIANS I LOVE AND THINK ARE WORTH LISTENING TO:

Fernando Ortega  My particular favorite CD of his is Give Me Jesus.  I love the song, "Give Me Jesus".    The song "Children of The Living God" is also a personal favorite because it is very peppy and uplifting.  I have been blessed to see Fernando twice in concert and if you ever get the chance to go to one of his concerts, GO!  It is worth whatever trouble or money you put forth to do it! Ginny Owens  My very favorite CD by her is Without Condition.  The song that is the song OF MY LIFE is:  If You Want Me To.  This song got me through my last move - the hardest of my life, and has gotten me through many a hard spot since.  I love the phrase,  "The pathway is broken, the signs are unclear, and I don't know the reason why you brought me here.  But just because you love me the way that you do, I'm gonna walk through the valley if you want me to."   In fact, if I can ever figure out how to add music to my website, I am going to put her song on it.  This is an EXCELLENT song!   Her other CD called Something More is also quite excellent - very peaceful and not quite as "rock-ish".  My favorite song from that CD is Be Still, My Soul. A song I would love to find, especially if sung by Morris Chapman, is I SEE THE LORD.  His CD of this song is now out of print but this song helped me through the most difficult experience of my life back in 1998.  I would hear it on KTIS in Minneapolis.  Almost every day as I would run, this song would play and I could almost actually "see" the Lord, high and lifted up...I could imagine the train of HIS robe, filling the whole temple with glory.  Though the whole world was not rejoicing by the end of my run, I certainly was.  If you are going through a hard time, find that song, sung by anyone, and listen to it.  You will be blessed and at peace by the time the song is over.  You can read that passage in Isaiah 6:1.  All of Isaiah 6 is such a worshipful chapter!  EXCELLENT!
